The Cheshire Horse and Hound Foundation (CHHF) is a Non-Profit Corporation that is exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3). The CHHF was formed to, among other things, preserve open space, support the care and training of horses and hounds, promote the history and traditions of hunting with hounds and provide education to children and other members of the public on the importance of open space and the role horse sports play in that conservation.
Examples of activities of the Foundation are as follows:
Pony camps for kids
Seminars regarding conservation and easements for open space
Annual running of the Cheshire Races
Financial support for the “work to ride” program
Re-purposing of racehorses to become hunt horses.
Contributions to the CHHF are fully tax deductible.
